Rooikat Roastery is a small artisanal coffee roastery that focuses on small batch coffee roasting.

“We use specific roasting profiles per blend with a focus on aroma and taste to create a beautifully balanced journey for the senses. Tucked away on a farm on the Peninsula of the Western Cape, we are surrounded by a natural calming beauty that really is the dreamiest space to enjoy coffee from.”

Set on the beautiful and historical Wildschutsbrand farm (next to Cape Farmhouse) – one of the oldest farms in the area with an interesting history dating back to around 1738 – Rooikat Roastery is a warm and inviting rustic farm-feel space.

“We are lucky enough to be roasting coffee in the old horse stables, which are about 200 years old.”

Rooikat Roaster supplies the well-known and established coffee shop in Kommetjie Good Riddance Coffee, where you can also buy bags of Rooikat coffee beans.

Rooikat Roastery has been thoughtfully curated to provide visitors with an immersive experience that ties into the fauna and flora of the area. Each blend’s unique story is paired with a collaboration from local artists that speak to the prominence and memorableness of both the coffee and the associated animal, plant or bird – such as the Bokmakierie blend (with beans from Rwanda and Brazil) and the Baboon blend (from Rwanda and Uganda).
