Craft beer made and sold around Kommetjie, Cape Town, available on tap at The Green Room and by the can in the Kommetjie Liquor store.
Our favourites are the light and fruity New African Session Ale, Space Bunny (NASA – get it?) and the OG – the White Rabbit Blonde Ale. Shipwreck Brewery is also well known for its stout, The Dark Side, and the IPA, the Iron Pig.
Shipwreck Brewery is a contract brewer, brewed at a brewery about three kilometers from founder Paul Mowat’s home with Valley Brewery. Paul is an engineer, originally from Scotland, who started Shipwreck Brewery just over ten years ago to make the kind of beer he wanted to drink.
